Interest received from 12 people who would like to be involved in the Project Group
Initial meeting of the Project Group held 6th November
- Details of Onion Collective report, the S&R Committee requirements, The ToR, The Working Group Organisation and the ShIPS Consultation shared with all participants
- 7 volunteers were able to attend
- The concept of “Meanwhile Use” and possible meanings was discussed
- Timeframe and project plan
- Final Solution based on Community Consultation over a period of use of the site
- Project names were suggested
- Decided that a Café would be required for MU and the design would best be based on a container
- Noted that Planning permission may be required (Action – Anchor Group)
- Noted that for meaningful use, Utilities would be required (Action – Anchor Group)
- Decided that Toilet facilities would also be crucial
Noted that site clearance is critical for the Canal Festival Deadline

Contact with local company specialising in Container conversion made and agreement for technical advice made
Possible Energy Solutions for the Ship Inn site final solution investigated and documented
Concept design for Café based on 12M HC (High Cube) Container created
Initial costing in progress for concept design
STC approved a reserved budget for the project
