We aim to create a fully accessible Boardwalk on our Community Space. This will link up our two entrances and will provide safe and level access for everyone.

Volunteer your help
We are always looking for volunteers to help us either onsite or behind the scenes. As the weather improves we are now able to get started on several projects including preparing for our pontoon and boardwalk areas. There is a lot to be done, and often we need to be able to call on people at the last minute when the weather is kind to us. We need hands on deck and to be able to call on you!
We also need people to help us with the events we are planning. You will need to be free for one or more of our Sunday events from May – October 2026, and it could be anything from marshalling, helping on a stall to making cups of tea! Or you could assist with all the planning beforehand?

We aim to create a community hub on the former Ship Inn site in Stonehouse that will benefit the community economically through the creation of a viable community-owned business; socially by bringing the community together, improving well-being and reducing social isolation; and environmentally by enhancing the preservation and connection with local heritage and nurturing an appreciation of the importance of the wildlife and biodiversity of the canal corridor.
