Meeting 11th June 2024

APT and LOOP

BH attended the meeting and highlighted the work she was engaged in trying to find people with potential, focussed on the  Bridgend Community.  There seemed to be a good fit with the work that she was carrying out with people.  BH has asked to join the Committee

D-Day Event – de-brief

The event took place on memorial green on Saturday 8th June.

The turnout for the event was very good and there was a good amount of interest in what we were trying to achieve.  From this event we gained 11extra members and 27 of the Ship Inn -Use surveys were completed.  The survey information will be fed into the business plan and help us make decisions.

It was suggested that for future events (bearing TLC coming on July 14th) we should have a further banner showing where the site is – perhaps the aerial shot of the site from the video for the stall and that we should have a permanent Banner on the site gates.

It was also suggested that we use Tabards with spice logo so that stall volunteers can be identified and walking ambassadors can be identified.

Ship Inn – Use town survey

A survey for the use of the site has been created to inform the committee on how we can use the site to encourage visiting the town, exploring the common routes to the site, to focus TC action and the need for signposting, along with some spend information

The survey will be sited at strategic places around the town.  The TC have agreed to lend us the 7 survey boxes that they have.

Site Drone Video

A site drone video has been donated to us to use.  The video was shot in June 2024 and shows the site and extents. the video is available on the website@  https://spicestonehouse.co.uk/the-site
