The SpICE group has been working on the Ship Inn Community Space in Stonehouse since gaining access to the site in 2024. We officially opened to the public in May 2025 and huge steps have already been made, but there is still a long way to go to make the site accessible to all, and to put permanent facilities in place.
Sponsor our Boardwalk
£35 will pay for a Plank with optional inscribed brass plaque, or contribute what you can afford towards the rails, beams and other building materials. We also have a general donation page – Funds raised will be used for all projects.
Boardwalk Plank & ‘Stamp!
Sponsor a Plank, and put your ‘Stamp’ on it!
An engraved brass plaque with 2 lines of text on it is included but optional. For £35 you will be be sponsoring a plank with an optional engraved brass plaque.
Your plaque could have your name on it, a dedication to a loved one, or it could just remind us that ‘SpICE group are doing a great job’! Alternatively you can choose to leave it blank.
Boardwalk Build
Sponsor building materials for our Boardwalk
Donate whatever you can afford for beams, rails, fixings etc.
SpICE volunteers will be assembling the boardwalk so costs can be kept to a minimum. Additional funds raised will be allocated for other general costs (eg petrol, delivery costs etc) or to the next phases of the project.

- creating a pontoon for access from the canal
